Evon Chambers (916) 313-4509 echambers@pcl.org
Water Policy Assistant
After a successful summer internship, Evon joined the PCL staff in September of 2007 as a Water Policy Assistant. With multiple roles as a researcher, fact finder, and writer for the water program, Evon is particularly interested in exploring strategies to maintain or improve our quality of life while reducing our dependence on natural resources.
Prior to working for PCL, Evon lived, worked, and studied in Santa Barbara. Her current work at PCL in water policy is a natural progression from her studies in Santa Barbara, which culminated with a field course focusing on California’s watersheds, water management and delivery systems. She graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara in the summer of 2006, receiving two degrees: Environmental Studies (with an Urban and Environmental Planning emphasis) and The History of Art and Architecture (with an Architecture and the Environment emphasis).
While attending UC Santa Barbara, Evon received the prestigious “Legacy Award” as a four-year rower on the UCSB Women’s Crew Team.
Outside of work Evon enjoys spending time outdoors and planning exciting new excursions. She is an art and architecture enthusiast and collects art books. Evon is also an actively involved with her local Bahá’i community and teaches weekly children’s classes. |
