Matt Vander Sluis

Matt Vander Sluis was hired in September 2004 and currently serves as the Planning and Conservation League’s Global Warming Program Manager, carrying out national, state, and local global warming priorities in California.
From 2005 to 2006, Matt was a Project Coordinator for the PCL Water Policy team, where he advocated on numerous water policy issues before the state Legislature, state agencies, and local governments and helped facilitate the formation of Restore the Delta, a broad-based grassroots group advocating for environmentally sound solutions for the California Delta. He also served as Lead Editor and Research Director for the 2005 PCL/PCLF/CLCV “Everyday Heroes: Thirty Five Years of the California Environmental Quality Act” publication.
In 2003, Matt received a B.A in American Studies from Stanford University. He has spent over nine years in leadership roles for international human rights organizations and is interested in the intersection of environmental protection, civil and human rights, and land use decisions. |
