2008 Symposium

brownOn Saturday, January 12, 2008 the Planning and Conservation League (PCL) and PCL Foundation hosted its annual Symposium. This event brought together nearly 330 activists, business leaders, policy and decision-makers, environmental non-profits, and attorneys. PCL staff members look forward to working you to find innovate solutions to some of our most important environmental problems.

Background
The Symposium theme for 2008 was “State of Change: How Californians Can Change the World.” From land use, to energy, to toxics, to water, decisions at all levels impact humans, wildlife and our natural resources. We are challenged to make California a state of change.

Proceedings
In order to continue to provide you with current and relevant information on the environment the following Symposium Proceedings has been made available via the PCL website.

Award Winners
This year we celebrated the work of five heroes: Assemblymember Lois Wolk, The Winnemem Wintu Tribe, Bill Center, The Central Valley Air Quality Coalition (CVAQ), and Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E).

Sponsors
PCL and the PCL Foundation could not have made this Symposium happen without the generous support and assistance from the following sponsors:

Publications on the Event
