PCL has designed a Resource Center to ensure the public
and our partners have the necessary background and policy
information needed when making important decisions about
our environment. This Center aims to provide information
that will protect the environment and quality of life for
all Californians. Recent articles, legislative materials
and the context of the issue will be included in each section.
We are developing other sections and will post those as
the materials become available.
High
Speed Rail
PCL and other want California’s High Speed
Rail system done right -- this means examining alternative
routes, ensuring an adequate environmental impact
report and have a sound business plan with financial
resources to complete the project.
Water Bond
In November, Californians will vote on the $11 billion water bond, which
would finance water-related projects including new dams, urban
groundwater monitoring, and water recycling. The League opposes the bond
and is asking for your support to ensure all Californians have access to
clean, safe drinking water.
