5 Night Stay in Maui Condo During 2017 Whale Season
Enjoy 5 relaxing nights at a privately owned condo at the Maui Kai in Kaanapali, HI (the Lahaina region of Maui) from March 27 – March 31, 2017 during whale season. The Junior Suite is spacious and well-appointed with a Queen Bed; as well as a sofa bed for the occasional guest. There are seating arrangements for relaxing and dining. You will find plenty of space to store your clothing and personal items. The kitchen comes fully equipped with all the modern conveniences. Bring your favorite seasonings or pick from our herb garden when available. A flat screened TV, Blu-Ray Player and I-Pod docking station are there for your entertainment. An in-room telephone with answering machine is provided, as well as a secure safe with room to hold your laptop. Enjoy the cool comfort of central air conditioning, or open the windows and let the room fill with tropical ocean breezes. 3 Nights at Private Oceanview Home in La Jolla
Enjoy La Jolla, well known as the jewel of the Southern California Coast from the comfort of a spacious, three story home in the area of La Jolla known as Bird Rock. The home is the 4th house from the ocean, on a hill, and less than two blocks to a village area with restaurants and stores. Ocean views can be enjoyed from all levels of the house, though the most spectacular views are from the upper level.
The top floor of the home has a great room with a sophisticated kitchen with a walk in pantry; a large dining room (easily seats 12 people); and living room. The kitchen appliances include two dishwashers, two ovens, a “speed oven” and microwave, a steam oven, four gas burners, and an induction range. Off the kitchen there is a small den with a TV and a powder room. There is a wall mounted TV in the kitchen, and a dining bar. Off the kitchen is a large built in gas barbecue.
The living and dining areas open onto over 1,000 square feet of deck. On the deck, there is a Jacuzzi with an ocean view. From there you can watch surfers near Bird Rock just offshore, nearby sail boats and ships in the distance, and sometimes even whales and dolphins. In the evening, it is a great location for stargazing and listening to the surf. The deck has a number of tables and chairs for outdoor entertaining, as well as a comfy bench seat under an overhang, where there is a small refrigerator for beverages.
The middle floor has three bedrooms with full baths, and the master bedroom has a large deck off of it that looks out over Bird Rock. The laundry room and garage are both at this level. Use of bikes is included and a car could be negotiated.
The lower level is a large playroom with a foozball game and a media room, with another small refrigerator. There is a full bathroom and a small room that can be used for sleeping. If desired, this level could accommodate a number of children on futons and an aero bed.
The playroom opens onto a backyard with a ping pong table and a grass area that is used for bocce ball and ladderball (a tossing game).
The home is in a walkable and bikeable community. The home is very green. It was the second LEED Platinum house in San Diego County.

Getaway to Mendocino Home Built Around a Redwood Tree
1800 sq ft, 3 bedroom, 2 bath octagon house built around an approx 80 yr old redwood tree. The tree is literally in the middle of the house and the house wraps around it. There’s a small deck space in the middle of the house around the redwood tree and then decking wraps around the entire exterior of the house as well.
Everything is completely new and freshly remodeled. Tons of natural light with skylights and sliding glass doors in all rooms. Open floor plan so kitchen, dining and living room are all one great room. There is a large master bedroom and large second bedroom in the main part of the house, the third bedroom is separated from the main part of house but connected under a covered outdoor and walled on two sides space. Two full baths in the main house, one with a tub, the other a shower. And a laundry room.
The house sits on over 1 acre of land with a large open area and then surrounded entirely by redwood forest. You will feel like you’re out in the middle of nowhere but you’re only 1 mile from the village of Mendocino – you can walk or bike into town very easily. There will be some teepees and/or yurts on the property as well as an outdoor play area for kids.
